INTRO
FAI's FTAI™ instrument provides a fast (~1 hour per test), cost effective means to measure very small pressure changes that can be used to determine, among other things, the Thermal Activity (TA) at constant temperatures. The FTAI™ instrument uses an Isothermal fluid bath to monitor materials undergoing gaseous decomposition reactions. For a test duration of ~1 hour, the FTAI™ is capable of measuring pressures on the order of 100 Pa (~0.015 psi) to interpret TAs on the order of 1 µW/g or a self-heat rate on the order of 10^-5 °C min-1.
