FAI offers nuclear technology traning programs designed to help you achieve your competency-based learning objectives. A one week course on the use of MAAP is given annually at our facilities. Our classrooms feature advanced audio-visual equipment and computer-based training terminals. With the combination of the numerous experiments that have been performed at FAI and the broad knowledge of other key experiments, and nuclear plant experience, the training essentially provides hand-on experience in a simulated performance environment. Generally, the course is held in September or October and topics presented include:

• Features of the models, particularly recent enhancements,
• Input deck and parameter file preparation,
• Output evaluation,
• Benchmarking with plant experience,
• Applications, and
• MAAP4 and MAAP4-GRAAPH for Windows 95/NT.

When requested standardized or customized training programs have also been conducted at the customer's facility.
